Just too Cute! It's RUDI X's TWO! Bob had a good friend, Rudi Maki, visiting from Massachusetts when this little fellow was born. Bob and Rudi were in the Navy together and they served on the same submarine and had not seen each other in 43 years. So, in honor of our visitor, we named our new addition, Lil' Red Rudi. He was beside himself with excitement as he witnessed the miracle of birth from beginning to end and then having us name the new foal after him had him bouncing around the barn like a giddy little kid.

Rudi spent the next 6 days taking pictures of Lil' Red Rudi and he had the pleasure of bonding with his namesake. We let him have total charge of care of Lil' Rudi so he could have the "full donkey experience." This was so much fun being able to share this special little boy with our special friend.

Lil' Red Rudi is so cute, happy, and spunky. He has great straight legs, perfect bite, a fantastic all red 'My World' pedigree and simply full of himself. 'Visiting Rudi' was in pretty good shape himself after all those 43 years! LOL :O)

Bob and I had just gotten cleaned up and were anxiously awaiting the arrival of an out of town guest. We took a quick glace at the barn cam and saw that Velvet had another agenda for us. We quickly went to the barn to be close if she needed any assistance from us. Being a maiden we didn't know what to expect but she did very well. She does need to learn to push harder and longer but she finally caught on to the process. She popped out this beautiful black foal and when we did the sex check (which we always do several times, LOL) I told Bob, "It's a girl and she's black to boot." Now you know the rest of the name story. Annie has the softest long black "fur". I call it fur because it is so soft it feels like an angora bunny. It is most unusual! Annie is so full of herself and adores everyone. As we open the stall door she runs to greet us with her tail wagging, head turned up for kisses. What a precious bundle of love. Racer and Velvet sure did a great job and I can see each of them in Annie. Please check back for sale information. I really hate to part with this little darling!

This little fellow came into this world ready to strut his stuff. Within a few minutes of being born he was up walking, running, wagging his tail, and then he decided to nurse. We knew immediately he was full of mischief. Ruff has such an expressive face and his eyes look at you as if to say, "Come on let's go do something fun". His rose colored coat is absolutely stunning and in the sun he appears to be iridescent. When we took Ruff out to take pictures he displayed such independence that we let him and his mom go exploring. He sure showed us he was Ruff-N-Ready to take charge of the farm. Our dog, Ollie, has adopted him and the two of them are great buddies now. I must say that Ruff gets the blue ribbon for his stocky conformation, straight legs, perfect bite, and yes the fastest waggin' tail I've ever seen. Ruff sold before I got his write-up and price posted on his page. What lucky new owners!!!!
